Made with Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), Green Umbrella's menstrual cup warms in your body to fit to your contours, providing a fit as unique as you. The raw TPE material can be reheated and reused, unlike its less cooler cousin silicone, whose raw material cannot be reused.


Green Umbrella menstrual cups can be used for up to 2+ years, saving you money and supporting our goal for a sustainable period experience for all who menstruate. After 2+ years, the colour and properties of the cup begin to deteriorate and it might be time for a new one!


The sizing of menstrual cups can be tricky since every body is so unique. The beautiful thing about our TPE cup is that it's got enough elasticity to conform to the unique shape of your vagina. The difference between sizes is quite miniscule, and categorizing them, historically, has been difficult as there is no universal method for sizing cups. Some cups are size A, B, C, others are 1, 2, 3, and ours, for example, are described as "Small," "Medium," and "Large."

    Made with medical grade TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer) is a more eco-friendly alternative to the traditional silicone-based menstrual cup.
  • Made without silicone, latex, BPA or phthalates.

How to use

  1. Folding the cup

    2. Using your middle finger and thumb, press into both the sides of the cup so that the walls of the cup are touching. Next, fold the cup in half forming a ‘U’ shape.

  2. Push-down fold

    3. Place a finger on the top edge of the cup and press inward to form a triangle.

  3. Inserting the cup

    4. a) While holding the cup folded with one hand, use the other hand to separate your labia and insert the cup toward the tailbone or base of the spine.

    b) Once inserted, turn it 360° degrees by grabbing the base (above the stem). This will create a seal to prevent leaking.

  4. Removing the cup

    5. a) Find a comfortable position sitting on the toilet, squatting or standing with one foot on the toilet and grab the base of the cup. Gently pull on the stem until the cup is outside of you enough to firmly hold its base.

    b) Grab the base of the cup and gently move it side to side while pulling out.

    c) Press the base of the cup with your index finger and thumb. This will break the seal and allow you to gently pull the cup out.
